Surface heat treatment
Laser heat treating is a surface modification process designed to change the microstructure of metals through controlled heating and cooling. An advantage that lasers offer in this process is the ability to heat treat localized areas without affecting the entire work piece. After heat treating, the mass of the material being processed is generally sufficient for "quenching" or rapid heat removal.
Laser cutting
Laser cutting uses the laser as a single point cutting source to vaporize material in a very small and well defined area. Our multi scanner systems offer a solution with the maximum flexibility for a different range of products at high production rates.
Laser cladding
Laser cladding is a process in which material is deposited on the surface of a work piece. The laser cladding process is often used to create an entirely new surface, as well as to repair damaged or worn surfaces. It is even possible to create functionally graded coatings where the material composition of the coating can be changed on the fly.
